Abstract

The 2000 Suriname Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (Suriname MICS 2000) has as its primary objectives: - To provide internationally comparable up-to-date information for assessing the situation of children and women in Suriname at the end of the decade; - To furnish data needed as input to the National Plan of Suriname on children; - To contribute to the improvement of data and monitoring systems in Suriname and to technical expertise in the design, implementation, and analysis of such systems.
